Forza Motorsport 3 is a realistic racing simulator on the Xbox 360, the sequel to Forza Motorsport (Xbox) and Forza Motorsport 2 (Xbox 360). The game will include over 400 fully customizable cars from 50 manufacturers and over 100 tracks.[4] Every car in the game has been built with more than 10 times the amount of polygons as Forza Motorsport 2.

The game will feature 2 discs due to the amount of content available for Forza Motorsport 3. The first disc will be the main game disc used to run the game each time. The second disc will serve purely as an installation disc, and will contain more cars and tracks for the user to install. The second disc is said to include 1.9GB of data and is an optional extra if the user so chooses to install the content. The disc will allow all or some parts to be installed if the user does not wish to have all of the content from the second disc on their Hard Drive.
